We all know how overwhelming it can be when you first start out in the online industry.  You are probably being bombarded with email from different marketers trying to sell you their latest “secret” to generate massive free traffic.  Heard it before I guess, but don’t worry, I am not trying to sell you anything here except a strategy to work a bit smarter to achieve faster success online.  If you follow these three steps it is a good chance you will be successful and without being to overwhelmed, which probably is the biggest success killer for any online entrepreneur.

Think about it, how many things have you not been told that you need to master to be a successful Internet marketer?  The list is around 50 different skills and still growing: SEO, article marketing, forum marketing, PPC, Pay Per view, Marked research, Keyword research, Product Creation, Copy writing and writing sales letters, HTML, ftp, php, Wordperss, Shopping Carts, Merchant Account, Jpint Ventures, Affiliates, Web 2.0, Social Media, Email list Building, Autoresponders just to mention a few and the list goes on.  So no wonder most people never achieve any success online when this is the strategy you are being bombarded with.  If you are anything like us you have to wonder where to start?  And it’s a good question because they are all great skills to master, but some of these takes months and sometimes years to master.  Just the SEO skills alone is a huge topic and it will take a lot of time to become an expert. So if the money is in your list AND the way you relate to it, lets break it down to the very scratch.  What does it take to build a list?  Well yo need traffic (people that actually visit your site), then you need a conversion (people that actually wont to be on your list).  There are a number of ways to build your list, and there are new traffic sources Popping up every year.  How ever there are a few basic things that need to be in place before you can build a list or lists.  This is just a step byt step guide to what you need, and this is basically for “newbie’s” to Internet marketing.  We have all been there, but we forget fast.  But when you understand that others success is yours, you are on your way to be successful Internet marketer.  I have used free services where it is possible. The money is in your list! How many times have you heard that? Many I guess, and it is a great deal of truth in it butnot the whole truth.  Because if that was the case spammers would be the most successful marketers and they ain’t.
However, if you are an affiliate marketer and are NOT building your list, then you are leaving a lot of money on the table. First of all you just have one shot to sell to them, and if they don’t buy they are gone for ever. If you do build your list then you can promote the same product several times, and them shift to another product within the same niche. Today’s plugin is called Akismet, and what this plugin do is to check your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not and let you review the spam it catches under your blog’s “Comments” admin screen.  You will find this plugin most useful, especially when you see some traffic coming to your blog.  Spam is a growing problem in the blogosphere, and this will for sure help you keep this problem to a minimum.

• Stop a massive amount of spam comments on your blog.
• Also available for for other blog platforms than WordPress.
• Akismet is totally FREE.
