A couple of weeks a go I saw an interview with, as it turned out with quit an interesting man. He is known for he’s success in the business world, and became the man to made billions in just a few years. But after just two years he was practically flat broke again. He lost ALL his fortune being an aggressive stock trader, thinking he knew all the secrets in the financial world. He is back on he’s feet again doing quit well with a new telecom company (LUDO).
During the interview he was asked: “When you look back in retro, what is your best memories from this period?” Well it was very nice to have all that money and enjoying the freedom they brought, but the journey to the so-called “success” was far better. And the reason in this: When I had all the money my life was without any challenges, the juice was gone. I was bored and it was a completely new experience to me. I thought the money would make me happy, like most people do, and man was I wrong. It made me ultimately play hazard with my money, and the rest is history. How ever the journey to my so-called “success”, is the most rewarding time of my life. I was challenged all the time. I was constantly learning new things, bringing value to my life, to my family, my friends an co workers. It is from this period I am able to give back to my kids and hopefully be a good example to other. Successful people fail, and failure can make you successful.
So success isn’t always what we think it is. Who haven’t thought that if I had that kind of money, my life would be great? I know I have. But the fact is that most success full people say the same thing: The journey to success is often more rewarding than the so-called “success” it selves. And the reason is this: We are all driven by the same needs, and two of our fundamental need is to grow and contribute. And on our journey to success we are constantly learning, and when we learn there are more of us to give. This gives us a feeling of fulfillment, that our life has purpose and it is one of the most powerful feelings we can generate. I don’t say that money is a bad thing, on the contrarily money will make our life a lot better. However we must not lose the sight of the real goal we have: To live a life with purpose.
Successful people fail, and failure can make you successful.

If you live by the philosophy that what ever you do today you will harvest tomorrow, you are a very intelligent person. Then you also know that what ever you do this week, you will reap next week, and if we bring it up one step: What ever you do in 2010 you will reap for years to come. This couldn’t be more true for your affiliate marketing business or what ever internet marketing you do, or in any other area in your live for that matter.
In our first year in this business we worked our tails of without to many results (as we could see then), and we used a lot of time and money on education that all said we would succeed quick like: ” make $ 30 000 in your first 30-60 days bla bla bla”. And we all know this is BS for the majority of the people. There are a lot of affiliate marketers that makes these amounts and more each month, but in their first two mounts ever in this business? Don’t think so.
How ever, a lot the education we attended back in our first year are paying off big time now, and the reason is one major factor: TIME AND CONSISTENT WORK! As a matter of fact we are getting a lot of traffic from things we did in our first year in business, and makes a lot of money from it. But we didn’t see a dime in our account back then. The reason is simple: It takes a long time for your work to be indexed by the search engines, it takes time for your blog to get a decent page rank from Google even if you follow our guidelines in our free e-book : “The Blog Set Up Check List 2.0″. It takes time before your “killer articles” get a lot of traffic form the different article directories you submit them to etc. So if you like to be successful in your affiliate marketing/internet marketing business and you don’t have a lot of money to invest in your business but time. Follow these steps for a least 12 months:
1. Set up your blog. This will in time be the “nerve center” in your business for years to come if you follow the steps in our free e-book.
2. Post regularly on your blog, three times a week is a good start. When you reach 100 posts you will see traffic you never thought possible.
3. Submit one article a week to “top ten article directories”. Submit your original content here, however one article can become 10-20 or more bye using jetspinner.
4. Set up a blogger blog with two keywords linking back to your “nerve center”, this will simply give you more quality back-links to your main blog (e.g http://freetrafficfromgoogle.blogspot.com)
5. To get some fast traffic, sign up at relevant forums with more than 5000 members and post there 2-3 hours a week without SPAMMING, just leave your link in your signature field (just use forums that allows links in the signature fields) This is another great way to get quality back-links.
6. When you start to get traffic, and see what works and don’t start escalate with PPC campaigns.
And remember always: What ever you do today, you will harvest tomorrow. What ever you do this week, you will reap next week. What ever you in 2010, you will reap for YEARS to come.

Forum Marketing is a great way of marketing your online business or other types of websites. Forum users are very often experts in different niches or bloggers, and by using forums in your overall online marketing strategy your message may reach unlimited prospects. Below you’ll find some tips and guidelines on how to start your forum marketing efforts, and by implemeting them you’ll get a great start in the forum world:
- Pick 5-10 forums within your niche
- Check the forum guidelines to find out if there are restrictions and/or benefits of any kind. That can be things like not allowing links in your signature, can you promote your business, are there any privileges for veteran users, are there any restrictions for new users.
- There should be at least 1000 users in the forums you chose, and the reason is obviously that you like to put your efforts in where you get the most out if it and the best results. The more users the more prospects and potential customers.
- Make sure there are at least 20 new posts a day
- When you have found 5-10 forums you like to use, create an account as soon as possible. The reason is that older users are given more deference that newer users. There are even forums where new users cannot posts the first couple of days.
- PS! Chose a username that means something to all people which is easy to pronounce and remember.
- Create your profile
- When creating your profile you should put some efforts into that, because this is like your advertisment to the community and the users.
- Put in a picture of yourself, preferably a head picture or a picture with you and your kids or maybe pets. People like that.
- Let people know a little bit about you, your interests, profession, pets, family, favourite sports teams etc. Make sure to avoid anything about politics and religion as this might offend your audience.
- YOUR SIGNATURE is where you actually put in your link to your website. Make sure not to put in flashy pictures or anything like that, just a short comment and the link to your website. If you have any free offers, like a lead “magnet” make sure to mention that in your signature as well.
- Introduce yourself to the community
- Write a short introduction post about yourself to the community. Usually there are threads like “New Members”, “Say hello to the community” or something like that where you can post your introduction. By all means, do not advertise or spam in your introduction post as people hate it and you can be banned by the moderators as well.
- Posting advices
- Contribute with valuable comments and posts to the community. This is the key to success in forum marketing.
- Do not spam and do not overrun the community with sales pitches in the beginning.
- Keep your answers objective and the community will soon look at you as a trusted expert. After a while they will start asking you for recommendations, and that is when you can safely mention your business or products.
- Backup your advices and recommendations with trusted sources. This will contribute to build your expert image.
