A couple of weeks a go I saw an interview with, as it turned out with quit an interesting man.  He is known for he’s success in the business world, and became the man to made billions in just a few years.  But after just two years he was practically flat broke again.  He lost ALL his fortune being an aggressive stock trader, thinking he knew all the secrets in the financial world.  He is back on he’s feet again doing quit well with a new telecom company (LUDO).

During the interview he was asked: “When you look back in retro, what is your best memories from this period?”  Well it was very nice to have all that money and enjoying the freedom they brought, but the journey to the so-called “success” was far better. And the reason in this:  When I had all the money my life was without any challenges, the juice was gone.  I was bored and it was a completely new experience to me.  I thought the money would make me happy, like most people do, and man was I wrong.  It made me ultimately play hazard with my money, and the rest is history.  How ever the journey to my so-called “success”, is the most rewarding time of my life.  I was challenged all the time. I was constantly learning new things, bringing value to my life, to my family, my friends an co workers.  It is from this period I am able to give back to my kids and hopefully be a good example to other.  Successful people fail, and failure can make you successful.

So success isn’t always what we think it is.  Who haven’t thought that if I had that kind of money, my life would be great?  I know I have.  But the fact is that most success full people say the same thing: The journey to success is often more rewarding than the so-called “success” it selves.  And the reason is this:  We are all driven by the same needs, and two of our fundamental need is to grow and contribute.  And on our journey to success we are constantly learning, and when we learn there are more of us to give.  This gives us a feeling of fulfillment, that our life has purpose and it is one of the most powerful feelings we can generate.  I don’t say that money is a bad thing, on the contrarily money will make our life a lot better.  However we must not lose the sight of the real goal we have:  To live a life with purpose.

Successful people fail, and failure can make you successful.

To your success
